1. Heating: There is a heating element inside the PE butt welding machine, usually a heating plate or heating knife. This heating element heats the PE material to its melting temperature. The heating temperature is usually adjusted according to the type and thickness of the PE material.
2. Pressure: PE butt welding machine is also equipped with a pressure system, usually a hydraulic system. After heating, the PE pipes or plates that need to be connected are placed in the clamp of the butt welding machine and a certain amount of pressure is applied. The function of this pressure is to ensure that the two PE materials are in close contact while being heated to form a reliable weld.
3. Melting and cooling: When the PE materials reach the melting temperature and pressure is applied, they will fuse with each other. This process usually takes a certain amount of time to ensure that the material at the weld is fully melted and fused. After completing the welding, the butt welder will gradually reduce the heating temperature and continue to apply pressure to ensure that the weld is cooled and stable.
